Search results for atomic

Whether to clear all active query filters when the end user submits a new query from the search box.Setting this option to "false" is not recommended & can lead to an increasing number of queries returning no results.

Whether to interpret advanced Coveo Cloud query syntax in the query. You should only enable query syntax in the search box if you have good reasons to do so, as itrequires end users to be familiar with Coveo Cloud query syntax, otherwise they will likely be surprisedby the search box behaviour.

The amount of queries displayed when the user interacts with the search box.By default, a mix of query suggestions and recent queries will be shown. You can configure those settings using the following components as children: - atomic-search-box-query-suggestions - atomic-search-box-recent-queries

When you search, the tool will look for the text string you input within Canvas pages, files (PDF's, MS Office, text, and HTML documents), quizzes, modules, external URL's, announcements, discussion titles and descriptions (not posts), and within your syllabus content.

The University of Wisconsin System (except for UW Madison) has deployed a new search tool in Canvas. Non-student roles in Canvas will have access to the search tool beginning December 19, 2022, while students will begin having access to the search tool in late January 2023. This tool, Atomic Search, allows Canvas users to search for keywords across the content (modules, pages, submitted assignments, discussions, files, etc.) of all of their courses.

To search content within a specific Canvas Course, users can select Search in the course navigation to reach the search page and then enter their search terms in the search box at the top middle of the search screen.

Students can only search courses they are enrolled in, and can only access content which is Published without date restrictions or prerequisites. In addition, content must be linked to from the course menu or from other course content in order for students to be able to search it.

Instructors and Instructional Designers can search for all published and unpublished content in the courses in which they are enrolled. Instructors have the ability to turn off the search tool for their course.

For each result, Atomic Search displays the title of the item, a snippet of context from where it appears, and an icon to indicate the type of content (file, assignment, quiz, etc). If the search included multiple courses, then the results also display title and term of the course that the result is found in.

A) While image files cannot be found via search, the description associated with the image is searchable. If the image has a description then the page on which the image appears will show in the search results but without a preview of the image.

A) A wildcard is a special character, such as an asterix, that can stand in for unknown characters in a text value and are useful to find several items that are similar but vary in spelling. For Atomic search, an asterix is used as a wildcard and can be used at the beginning of the word or phase (e.g., *able) or at the end of a word or phase (e.g., independ*), but not in the middle of a word.

A) Unlike a Google search, Atomic Search finds content that exactly matches the string of characters in the search box and will not find words that are similar to a misspelled word. If you are not sure of the spelling of a word, try entering just a few of the beginning letters in the word and add an asterix (e.g., pho* if unsure how to spell "phonetic").

A) Discussion submissions are searchable; however, other types of student submissions (e.g., assignments, quizzes) are not indexed and are not searchable. To find student assignment submissions, search for the assignment title which will quickly take you to the assignment and its related student submissions.

Live Regions are well supported. The Paciello Group, in 2014, posted information about the state of the support of Live Regions. Paul J. Adam has researched the support of aria-atomic and aria-relevant in particular.

Similarly to the JSUI version, configuring Coveo's atomic-search-interface for things like language, which pipeline to use, etc. is relatively simple. It is however, a lot more streamlined in what options you have.

The purpose of the Search Interface is to act as the parent for all other components, manage the Headless search engine, and deal with any localization. Configuring things like analytics, and such are now designated to their respective components.

Understanding the purpose of the atomic-search-interface we can now dive into what options there are. I should also point out that Atomic is still in the early stages so I fully anticipate for these options to increase and or be changed entirely over the course of development.

Perhaps the most important option is the pipeline value. Assuming you are using pipelines to define segments of your search results, and I hope you are. In order to configure this value, feel free to review our article, Understanding Filter Rules Within A Query Pipeline. The default value is, well, 'default'.

If you find yourself at the bottom of the page and hit the next page in the set, this is the CSS selector where the page will scroll back to. i.e. if you want it to scroll to the absolute top of the page or if you just want it to scroll to the top of the results.

London: W. Nicol, 1826. First edition, very rare separately-paginated offprint, inscribed by Faraday to his friend and fellow electrical researcher William Snow Harris. This early chemical paper of Faraday contends that, while every substance is normally surrounded by a vapour of the same substance, and that the pressure of this..... More Item #5299

Gorlaeus is counted among the founders of modern atomism, which he proposed as an alternative to Aristotelian matter theory. Because of his notion of atomic compounds, he is..... More Item #4573

Perhaps even more important than the improved conversion is the more intuitive feel of Transact search. Prior to our use of machine learning, companies that were selected more often appeared below companies selected less often 1/6 of the time. After our efforts, this rate dropped to 1/20 of the time. In other words, users have to scroll a lot less to find what they are looking for. When formulated as a classification problem, our ranking error rate was reduced by a factor of three.

Search logs are a rich source of data where users tell us unambiguously what they are looking for. This deepens our understanding of users, and our improved search analytics allow us to iterate more quickly on coverage expansion.

This technique uses the status role from the ARIA specification to notify Assistive Technologies (AT) when content has been updated with information about the user's or application's status. This is done by adding role="status" to the element that contains the status message. The aria live region role of status has an implicit aria-live value of polite, which allows a user to be notified via AT (such as a screen reader) when status messages are added. The role of status also has a default aria-atomic value of true, so that updates to the container marked with a role of status will result in the AT presenting the entire contents of the container to the user, including any author-defined labels (or additional nested elements). Such additional context can be critical where the status message text alone will not provide an equivalent to the visual experience. The content of the aria-live container is automatically read by the AT, without the AT having to focus on the place where the text is displayed. See WAI-ARIA 1.1 status (role) for more details.

After a user presses a Search button, the page content is updated to include the results of the search, which are displayed in a section below the Search button. The change to content also includes the message "5 results returned" near the top of this new content. This text is given an appropriate role for a status message. A screen reader will announce "Five results returned".

After a user presses an Add to Shopping Cart button, content near the Shopping Cart icon updates to read "1 items". The container for this text (in this case a ) is marked with the role of status. Because it adds visual context, the shopping cart image -- with succinct and accurate ALT text -- is also placed in the container. Due to the default aria-atomic value, a screen reader will announce "Shopping cart, six items".

Hi everyone - I'm using the Atomic Lite template by GiantFocal for a landing page, and am finding that - when used - the default search tool in the header bar throws up a results page with incorrect info at the bottom (menu headings I don't want/use/need + some incorrect company information).

Choosing an item from citations and headings will bring you directly to the content. Choosing an item from full text search results will bring you to those results. Pressing enter in the search box will also bring you to search results. 041b061a72
